About Shannon Doyle Counseling

Dr. Doyle has emphasized developing a broad range of clinical skills
throughout his training and practice. He completed his doctorate at
the University of Minnesota in 1995 with specialization in the
treatment of depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. He completed
his internship at Northwestern University Memorial Hospital in
downtown Chicago, where he developed a strong interest in the needs of
older adults. His post-doctoral training was completed at Bridgeway,
a community mental health center in Western Illinois, where Dr. Doyle
provided psychological evaluations for over 300 children with
behavioral difficulties, academic challenges, and other emotional
difficulties.

Dr. Doyle has taught at the college level both at the University of
Minnesota as well as Knox College. He has also supervised various
students in their training to become psychologists themselves.  He has
14 years experience treating a variety of emotional issues for
children, adolescents and adults. He has been in private practice
since 1999. He is on the medical staff at Northwest Community Hospital
in Arlington Heights and Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.
